Qualifications and Application Process
Our mission is to help children with special needs by providing financial assistance for adaptive equipment, therapy, travel, and other essential needs that families can’t afford and insurance doesn’t cover.
Qualifications requirements:
- Individuals up to 21 years old
- Diagnosed with a neuromuscular or neuro-degenerative disorder with physical mobility limitations
- Have a financial need
- Must be a Michigan resident
We encourage families to actively fundraise to cover the majority of the costs and seek assistance from a variety of charities and governmental agencies. Vehicle assistance is limited to Michigan residents.
Once the application is complete, it will be assigned to a Lori’s Voice team member who will evaluate the child’s diagnosis and the family’s need for financial support. Additional information and documentation may be required. All information will be sent to the Board for determination. Recommendations to other resources may be suggested if necessary.
